Course Description:
This online course supports the Occupational Health and Safety Policy and focuses on the:
- Minimization of the negative impact of an accident on workers and the community.
- Identification of the underlying causes of an occupational injury and the implementation of appropriate changes to minimize or eliminate the risk of recurrence.
Compliance with occupational health and safety legislation relating to the:
- Identification and investigation of hazards Investigation by a worker member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee of injuries of a critical or fatal nature
- Elimination or control of hazards
- Reporting of occupational injuries/illnesses
- Provision of information to the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
Course Prerequisite

Testing:
Quizzes - All quizzes must be passed with a 70% to proceed forward to the
next lesson.
Final Exam- Final Exam must be passed with a 70% to pass the course.
The final exam can be taken three times if necessary.
